NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--
OneMain Financial announced today a Borrower’s Assistance program to
provide relief to its customers affected by the government shutdown. The
program, which went into effect January 10, will give eligible customers
options during the shutdown, including deferring loan payments.
“OneMain Financial is built on a commitment to our customers, and we
understand this is a difficult time for those affected by the partial
government shutdown,” said Doug Shulman, President and CEO of OneMain.
“Customers should contact us if they need help during this time.”
In addition to possible deferment, the program will prevent eligible
borrowers from incurring additional costs on their loans due to any
adjustment, including interest accrual, late fees and returned payment
fees.
